This work is grounded in our mission:

“To educate its students and cultivate
their capacity for lifelong learning,
to foster independent and original research,
and to bring the benefits of discovery to the world.”

Faculty Voices: Shared Governance at JHU

Faculty at Johns Hopkins shape the future of the university through shared governance.

The Johns Hopkins University Council (JHUC) includes faculty from all ten schools, as well as deans and university leadership.

Each school also maintains its own governance body to ensure faculty are actively engaged in key academic and institutional decisions.
